Visit Cedars Inn and enjoy our West Coast welcome! Based in Zeballos, British Columbia's tiniest village, we provide access to the Pacific coast with exciting salmon fishing charters, great sea-kayaking and plenty of wildlife.

Accommodation

Cedars Inn

Have a great sleep,
Enjoy a freshly caught meal,
Then relax and enjoy yourself.

More than a fishing lodge, Cedars Inn provides a variety of well-appointed guest rooms, excellent meals, and fantastic service.

Fishing

Enjoy some of the finest salmon and halibut fishing.

Catch and release,
Catch and eat, or
Catch and freeze.

Where we live, "plenty of fish in the sea " is more than an expression. Come to Zeballos Expeditions for some of the best salmon fishing in B.C., and while you're here, catch your fill of ling cod, halibut, and sea bass, too.

Kayaking

Kayaking in Nootka Sound and Nuchatlitz

Paddle to the islets,
Pitch your tent on flat sandy beaches, and
Hike the Pacific rainforests of Nootka Sound.
This is kayaking at its incomparable best.

Experience unspoiled oceanic wilderness. Take your kayak aboard Zeballos Expeditions' water taxi and get a lift to Nuchalitz and other favorite paddling areas.

Wildlife

Seals, sea lions, river otters, bears, whales, moose, elk, deer, cormorants, ptarmigans, eagles, hawks, mallards, and the Great Blue Heron

Spy a whale,
Eat with a bear, or
Watch the eagles soar.
Come for a visit and meet the clan.

You can watch black bears feeding along the banks of Zeballos River, right from the deck of our dining room. Nobody in British Columbia has a better bear- viewing station than the one at Cedars Inn in Zeballos!

Zeballos Expeditions

Cedars Inn, a friendly and unique hotel with no two rooms the same! Great view and comfortable lodgings. Ask for our long term and corporate rates.

Dining: The best food on the North West Coast, featuring yellow eye, halibut, cod, salmon and shellfish - all as fresh as the next tide.

Fishing: Big salmon and giant halibut; haul 'em out of the water and onto the table - or maybe into the freezer or smoker. We'll help you do it.

Sea otter and whale watching: Three hour boat trips to visit their habitats. Also here are seals, sea lions, river otters, bears, beaver, elk, deer, cormorants, ptarmigans, eagles, hawks, mallards, and the Great Blue Heron.

Kayaking: More islets, channels, and bays than you can paddle in a lifetime. Rent a sea kayak from Zeballos Expeditions or bring yours aboard our water taxi. We'll take you to Nootka Sound, Nootka Island, Nuchalitz Inlet, and Friendly Cove.

History: Transit the waters where Captain Cook met Chief Maquinna. Or see the world from the eyes of a prospector - there's still gold in these rivers and streams. Bring your pan and sift for gold. Easy hiking access to several defunct gold mines.

Tours: Be your own guide or ask for an escort; learn about aboriginal culture and the days of both discovery and hardship in the boom and bust town of Zeballos.

Camaraderie: When you stay with Zeballos Expeditions on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, you'll make and meet friends from around the world.

Languages: Our welcoming staff members speak English, Italian, and French (and a little bit of Spanish).
